SSC Full Form is Staff Service Commission. SSC is an organization under different government departments and various departments of the Government of India for the recruitment of employees in different positions and subordinate offices.This is an attached office of the Personnel Commission and Training Department, in which one president, two members and one of the exams is a Controller of Examinations.In the Parliament, the Estimates Committee recommended the formation of a service selection commission in its 47th report, finaly established this institution by the Government of India in the name of Subordinate Service Commission on November 4, 1975 and on 6th September 1977 the name of this institution Changed to Staff Selection Commission.

The SSC was established on 4th November of 1975 in its head quarter Delhi. SSC has opened Cool 8 regional offices in different cities, the names of those cities are as follows

  • Allahabad
  • Bangalore
  • Chennai
  • Kolkata 
  • Guwahati 
  • Mumbai

And its sub regional office is in Raipur and Chandigar.

Qualification


To apply for an SSC exam, one candidate should be between 18 years and 27 years of age. ssc ST / SC candidates, divorced women, women and ex-servicemen provide relief in their age. It is compulsory to have at least 12th pass for a candidate to apply for the post of Group C and the candidate who has applied for the post of group B is required to pass a graduation in any subject from the recognized university, UGC.

Recruitment


SSC recruits for different posts in Group B and Group C for technical posts in India. Staff Selection Commission operates competitive examinations for recruitment on various services and sub-inspectors, CRPF, SSB BSF, CISF, Lower Division Grade Limited Departmental, Junior Grade of Indian Information Service and more.

Preparation


The examination of any post of SSC has 4 sections. 1. English 2. Reasoning 3. Math and General Awairnes. To crack the SSC exam, you need to be well-versed in all four subjects. For this, you can get coaching from a good institution or prepare yourself.
